Do you have brown eyes that you would like to turn blue permanently?

A cosmetic procedure is raising eyebrows in San Antonio. These days, when Mother Nature doesn’t give you what you want you can buy it, dye it or implant it.

But can you go under the knife to change your brown eyes to blue? Dr. Gregg Homer in Laguna, California says sure you can.

“The procedure takes less than 20 seconds,” Homer said in a Skype interview. His controversial laser surgery is skeptics around the world rolling their eyes.

“The important thing is that under every brown eye is a blue eye,” added Dr. Homer. But one local doctor has major concerns about the procedure.

Dr. Jane Lindell Hughes is an ophthalmologist. She has concerns about the procedure that lasts about 20 and blasts the brown right off the iris.

Within three weeks the eyes go from a darker color to a lighter blue.

“When we remove the pigment, it just reveals the natural blue eye,” said Homer.

“There are some potential complications that could occur during and after,” predicts Dr. Hughes.

She researched the procedure and worries that cataracts could form. While that is a treatable problem she says the risk for Glaucoma is a bigger concern.

“The pressure on the inside of the eye is too high and that can cause permanent damage,” she added.

So we asked, if someone really wants to change their eye color what would she recommend? Her response: Good, old-fashioned colored contact lenses.

So, will patients in the U.S. be able to toss their contacts when they want to change their brown eyes for good?

Homer says the procedure will be commercially available within the next year outside the U.S.

“We are in the middle of testing,” he says. “So far, we’ve had no problems at all and we don’t anticipate any,” says Dr. Homer.

The procedure is expected to cost about $5,000.

It’s not often that we respond to a negative publication. One of the main reasons is that we rarely receive negative comments or negative press. We do our best to project a Christian attitude in every aspect of our work, and we try to avoid controversy because it rarely ends in a positive outcome. Our objective is to encourage God’s people to look towards the soon Coming of our Lord Jesus, and not be weighed down by the scandals of the world.

Sadly, there are times when we are forced to address accusations against the messenger of Malachi 4, and against the Message he brought. A local news organization recently published a slanderous article about Brother Branham and those of us who follow his ministry. There were many things that were presented as facts, which are false, and we feel must be addressed publicly.

We’ve received many phone calls and emails of support from believers around the world who saw the article. We appreciate all the encouragement we have received. Truly, there is a love among the Bride of Christ that the world cannot understand.

The following is the letter we sent to the news organization. It addresses some, but not all, of the errors in the article.

My name is Joseph Branham. I am the son of Reverend William Branham and President of Voice Of God Recordings/William Branham Ministries. I am writing this letter from both my brother, Billy Paul, and me in regards to the recent article on the six o-clock news titled: “Former member of controversial Branham Tabernacle speaks out,” aired on May 14, 2012.

I appreciate the comment made by the anonymous man in the shadows, pointing out that Brother Branham was the father of the charismatic movement. Famous ministers such as Jack Coe, T.L. Osborn, and even Oral Roberts readily acknowledged that Brother Branham was not only a great inspiration to their ministries, but also that he truly was a prophet of God. I also appreciate the reporter pointing out that Brother Branham claimed to use the power of God to heal. That is most certainly true; he never claimed to have any power in himself. He claimed that Jesus Christ is the healer.

Other than a few bright spots, I was sorely disappointed with the objectiveness of the reporting on this article. WHAS has more than 60 years of experience in the Kentuckiana area and has a good name in the community. As a company that prides itself on being fair and unbiased, there were things in the article that have the appearance of not only being bias, but willfully slanderous.

First of all, blacking out the mysterious guest’s face is a blatant attempt to give the illusion that this man’s life would somehow be in danger if he was identified. In reality, he is an outspoken critic of both my father and all of us who claim to believe his teachings. He makes absolutely no efforts to hide his identity, and you even posted the link to his website that has his name, picture, email address, and his own life story. He plainly says on his website that he is the grandson of Brother Willard Collins, who you interviewed for the story. Do you think the fact that this man is attacking his grandfather might make a difference to your viewers?

You also used a quote from Brother Branham and cut his words short of finishing his sentence, making it sound like he falsely predicted the end of the world. Why would you do this, other than to discredit our ministry? Here is his entire sentence:

Now, counting the time, we find that we have exactly -Listen- seventeen years left, and we will have the same span of time given to us as God dealing with us in the power of the Holy Spirit since A.D. 33 until 1977, the same span of time of 1954 years.

(Reporter) In 1960, Branham predicted the end of the world.
(William Branham) Now, counting the time, we find that we have exactly -Listen- seventeen years left.

This is NOT objective journalism. In fact, I would say this is a blatant lie to the public. Doing my best to give WHAS the benefit of the doubt, I can only hope that the anonymous guest gave you this truncated quote, gambling that you would not do the proper research.

Your reporter said, “Branham predicted he would be alive to see the return of Jesus Christ,” and “Many of his followers don’t expect him to stay inside the grave. People come from all over the world every Easter anticipating that Branham will rise up to foretell the Second Coming of Christ.” This is even more misleading than the previous example. The Bible predicts that the dead in Christ shall rise and meet the Lord in the air (I Thes 4:13-18). All Christians believe they will be alive at the Coming of the Lord, no matter if they die first or not. Brother Branham’s entire life was dedicated to proclaiming the Second Coming of Christ, which should be no different than any other Christian leader. What denomination does not say that Christ is coming again? It was the desire of his heart for everyone to accept Jesus Christ as personal Saviour and be there when the Lord Jesus returns. And yes, we believe that he will be alive when Jesus returns, the same as all believers will. Here is what Brother Branham actually said,

If I die before Jesus comes and they have–they give me a funeral, they’re going to play that (the song ‘Only Believe’) when they putting me down in the grave. So you here in New York, if you hear about it, you know when it’s going to be, stop and sing “Only Believe” once and remember me, will you? And remember, I believe this: that someday I’ll come out of there. That’s right. That’s my faith. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God with all my heart.

And as far as people coming from around the world to the graveyard to see Brother Branham return, this is gossip at it’s best. I grew up in this area with other kids making fun of me about people going to the grave at Easter to see him rise, but in my entire life, I have never met anyone who believes that. I am saddened that WHAS would propagate such a hurtful lie both to me and to all that believe my father’s Message.

In reality, Easter is a time of worship in all Christian faiths, and Brother Branham has been having Easter meetings in Jeffersonville since 1933. The gravesite is a place for believers to visit and pay their respects to a man they hold in the highest regard. A professional journalist would have at least found someone who actually believes this, rather than cutting and splicing David Forsberg’s testimony. We invite your administration to review the entire clip of his interview at the gravesite. It will be much different than what you reported.

Your reporter asked why so many local people don’t know about William Branham. Your mysterious guest said, “It’s almost behind closed doors…” If there is a more open ministry than ours, I would like to see it. Take a walk around Jeffersonville and see how many people have heard of William Branham and his ministry. You will find that almost everyone has. Unfortunately for those who don’t have a good understanding of our ministry, your article will go a long way to cast a shameful shadow upon all of us.

And about your mysterious guest’s comments on Voice Of God Recordings/William Branham Ministries (VGR). He talked about selling toys and other things for a profit. We do sell a few things, but almost always, the items are sold at or below what we pay for them, and almost all of the material shipped overseas is given away. In fact, over 95% of the material produced by VGR is given away completely free-of-charge. We operate almost entirely on free-will donations. You might have known this if you would have asked, but we were not contacted before your story ran. Objective journalism? Why would you publish a story about William Branham and Voice Of God Recordings without contacting Voice Of God Recordings, where both of his sons work?

And finally, I take personal offense at a comment made by your reporters: “They play the same old tapes, eleven hundred and forty sermons; they listen to them over and over and over again. That they did back in the fifties and sixties.” If my father preached the Word of God, then it should not be called “the same old tapes,” just as no one should say “they (Christians) read the same old 66 books of the Bible over and over and over again.” The 1,200 sermons we have are precious to us, because we believe they were spoken by a prophet of God. If God’s Word was true when it was written thousands of years ago, then it is still true today. We believe that for the Bible and for the Message of William Branham. God’s Word does not expire. This was supposed to be an investigative report, but it seems to me that the reporter was interjecting his opinion.

Even if WHAS disagrees with us, we still deserve the same respect as any other Christian. My earthly father did his best to point the world to Jesus Christ and His Word. He lived a life that was above reproach, which has been tested these 47 years since he passed. I don’t understand why you would disregard the truth and give credibility to a man who hides in the shadows and spouts off slanderous accusations with absolutely no basis in fact. This story by WHAS showed bigotry against a certain group of people who have every right to worship as they please, as long as they follow the laws of these great United States.

Please look back at your story and ask yourself: What did this accomplish? Did you bother to check the integrity of your mysterious guest, who so freely insulted and condemned a group of honest and upright people? With what I have presented to you in this letter, did this story live up to the normal standards for a WHAS broadcast?

After announcing his support for gay “marriage” earlier this month, President Obama appears to be putting the issue front and center in his campaign, reiterating his stance in a recently released campaign video, and in comments to the media and potential donors.

In an interview filmed Monday for ABC’s the View, Obama said that his current stance was influenced by gay family friends in “wonderful relationships” who told him he should support gay “marriage” and not just civil unions because “words matter.”

Obama added that the issue is “going to be a big contrast in the campaign,” since his opponent, Mitt Romney, is in favor of a constitutional amendment that would ban gay “marriage.”  His remarks echoed criticisms directed at the presumptive Republican nominee in a campaign video released last week which accused Romney of wanting to “take us back” rather than “move us forward.”

The president was elusive about his own stance on federal involvement in the issue, however,  dodging a direct question from co-host Barbara Walters on whether he would “fight for a federal bill” that would legally enshrine gay “marriage.”

In response, Obama merely noted his opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and claimed that the issue had “historically been determined at the state level.” He also accused Romney of “federalizing the whole issue” by favoring DOMA.

While the president’s federalist slant on the issue has dissatisfied some prominent gay rights supporters, his position has prompted praise, and in some cases, massive financial donations, from other corners of the movement.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, two up-coming fundraising events, one hosted by a prominent homosexual couple and the other by gay rights groups, are expected to bring in millions for the re-election campaign. The first was scheduled in the wake of the president’s announcement, and the second saw a dramatic increase in ticket sales because of it.

In widely reported comments, the president also called for the repeal of DOMA at a New York fundraiser co-hosted this week by the LGBT Leadership Council, gay singer Ricky Martin, and The Futuro Fund.

“We have never gone wrong when we expanded rights and responsibilities to everybody,” he told an audience of gay and lesbian supporters. “That doesn’t weaken families, that strengthens families.”

Romney has taken a restrained tone in response to the president’s championing of the issue, disappointing some conservatives.

“States are able to make decisions with regard to domestic partnership benefits, such as hospital visitation rights. Benefits and so forth of various kinds can be determined state by state. My view is that marriage itself is a relationship between a man and a woman, and that’s my own preference,” he said at a recent press conference in Oklahoma. “I know other people have differing views, this is a very tender and sensitive topic as are many social issues but I have the same view that I’ve had since running for office.”

A Prophet To The Gentiles

It is my prayer for you, that the Lord Jesus Christ would open YOUR understanding to understand the Scriptures. The subject material covered in these pages is of tremendous importance for this “End-time” generation. If we consider ourselves to be among those who are waiting for “the Blessed Hope”, the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus, the Resurrection and the Rapture, then we must needs be aware of what God has done and is doing in this end time age.

That which the Word of God has to say about “this age” affects our highest interests and eternal welfare. To further understand our subject, we must be able to recognize how the unchanging God reveals and brings His Word to pass. He does all things decently and in order, and that order is laid out in the Bible. It reveals God’s nature, character and methods of dealing with man. If we can recognize what God has done and is doing in this age, then make no mistake about it, we would have recognized what God did in the days of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Elijah, John the Baptist, etc.

God forbid that we would be found guilty of praising God for what He has done and what He will do, BUT ignoring what He is doing.

The subject of these pages will of course meet with a decidedly mixed reception. Man is accustomed to speaking of God only in terms of the past or the future and not the present. They are definite about the ‘past’ and feel positive about the ‘future’ but only speak in ‘general terms’ about God in the ‘present’ – not able to recognize the “revealing of the Son of Man” or the awakening of the Bride of Christ in their day. They can look into the Bible and see that the hour in which we live are like unto the “days” of Sodom and Gomorrah and the “days” of Noah but they are not able to recognize the ‘revealing of the Son of Man’ (Luke 17:28-30).

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Of course, some readers will have their minds already made up and no amount of persuasion or Scriptural proof will turn them into the path of Truth. Yet, others, with a deep hunger and thirst for the deeper things of God, will be thankful that, by Divine Grace, we endeavor to speak forth those things which bring God into the Present, declaring “all His counsel”, putting man in his proper place before Him, and to emphasize those portions and aspects of Scripture which our generation is most in need of.

According to the Bible, God’s method of revealing Himself to man at all “junctions of time” or the beginning and end of major dispensations, has been through His servants the Prophets. So important is the office of a Prophet that the Bible speaks on this wise…

“Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established, believe his Prophets, so shall ye prosper.”2nd. Chron. 20:20.

Again It is written…

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, BUT He revealeth His secret unto His servants, the Prophets.”Amos 3:7.
Note also this Scripture which speaks of God’s faithfulness to Israel and to His Prophets…

“He suffered no man to do them wrong; yea He reproved kings for their sakes, saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my Prophets no harm.”

In a bombshell revelation of the depth of the food police state that now exists in LA County, California, NaturalNews has learned that the LA County health department has unleashed door-to-door raw milk confiscation teams to threaten and intimidate raw dairy customers into surrendering raw milk products they legally purchased and own.

LA County health enforcers go door to door, demanding your fresh milk

“I received a phone call yesterday morning from a wonderful young gal, a 36-year-old mom out of LA County. She’s one of our UPS customers that we deliver overnight raw milk to her house. When the CDFA was in here the other day on our recall, they demanded to have all our delivery addresses for overnight UPS delivery. We screwed up and [inadvertently] gave it to them, they got it from one of our secretaries here. The LA County health department started calling her, six or seven times, demanding that she give up her raw milk from her own home to the health department.

She refused, then they showed up at her house and demanded that she give her raw milk to them. She was getting ready to call 911 for the Sheriff’s department and have them removed from her front doorstep, and she was threatening to use her camera to take a picture of them and post it on Facebook for harassing her over her raw milk… The investigators left after she told them she was not going to give them the raw milk and to get the Hell off her property.

This is what’s going on, it’s like food Nazis, it’s incredible what these people are doing, trying to collect food from people’s houses, that have not made them ill!

Then the San Diego health department called me up and said oh we want a list of all your buyer’s club members, and I said no… and they said we want all their addresses and their names, because we want to go to their homes. I said it ain’t happening, we aren’t going to give it to you.”

A bill to prohibit “discrimination” against homosexuals recently passed by the Chilean National Congress is likely to result in the approval of homosexual “marriage” and adoption, and may even lead to the persecution of Christians, according to HazteOir Chile (“Make Yourself Heard – Chile”).

The bill, which passed the Senate on May 9, prohibits “every distinction, exclusion, or restriction” against homosexuals and other groups, “that lacks a reasonable justification, carried out by agents of the government or individuals” and states that “any crime motivated by an ideological or discriminatory situation, whether for religion, race, ethnicity, condition, or sexual orientation, can be considered an aggravating factor by the judge at the time of evaluating, for the purposes of sentencing, an attitude that [the convicted] might have had for the purpose of discriminating against or diminishing another.”

HazteOir Chile issued a statement calling the law “very serious, because in the name of a right – that of non-discrimination – the right of every child to have a father and a mother is ignored.”

“How will an adoption agency be able to deny an adoption to a homosexual?” the organization asks.

“Furthermore, elements of human nature are attacked [by the bill], such as marriage, sexuality, freedom o expression and religion. How will a pastor freely preach from the Bible?”

However, one homosexual leader expressed disappointment at changes made to the bill before passage that he said would allow freedom of expression and other rights to trump a discrimination complaint.

Sebastián Pino, sub-coordinator of the legislative commission of the Iguales Foundation complained to Radio UChile that “if a person feels discriminated against, the person at fault, the discriminator, only has to invoke another fundamental right, like freedom of expression, to avoid punishment.”

He also complained that the final version of the bill had no mandate to require the government to engage in “educational” campaigns to change people’s attitudes towards homosexuality.

“We hope that we will soon have an anti-discrimination law, but not only with the text that is currently approved, but that it be a truly operational law, which includes affirmative measures, public policies that permit education that reaffirms the value of diversity,” said Pino.

The bill, which had been under consideration for several years, was given new life following the brutal beating of a young homosexual man in a park, which ultimately led to his death in a hospital several weeks later.

Daniel Zamudio, 24, was allegedly beaten by four young men who cut a swastika into his flesh and chanted anti-gay slogans as he slept in a park. According to the account of one of the four, he was kicked in the head, beaten with a bottle, urinated on, burned with cigarettes, and his legs were broken with rocks.

Homosexual groups have used Zamudio’s killing to promote the passage of the non-discrimination bill, while pro-family groups have expressed reservations that it will be used to promote the homosexual lifestyle and undermine family and religious rights.
